To share the pure power of acoustic sound as well as encourage development of acoustic music and compositions in Hong Kong, Tom Lee Music Foundation inaugurated the first “SoundBase Festival” music competition in 2000, which has become an annual event for all amateur local acoustic bands to showcase their music talents on stage. The SoundBase Festival provides an opportunity to launch new sounds, up-and-coming composers and musicians in the Hong Kong music scene.
