Ms Hiranuma started to participate in Electone Festival at the age of twelve.  In 1989 at the 26th Electone Festival Japan Finals, she won the Must Outstanding Performance Award in Duet Section, with a brilliant performance of her own composition written for Alto Saxophone and Electone.  Since then, she started her concert activities all over Japan, while she continued to pursue her music study at the college.

She has been actively involved in both local and overseas concerts where she has gained high reputation for her expressive performances.  Moreover, Yuri has participated in the 1st and 2nd Osaka International Chamber Music Festival in 1993 and 1996.  While in the latter one, she together with another Electone player Kondo, was the only Japanese entrant who went through to the Finals.
