- He was born in September 17, 1961 in Jackson, MS.
- Began playing guitar and formed a bluegrass band with his father and brother. As a teenager, he discovered the wonders of hard rock, influenced by KISS, Beatles, Queen and Aerosmith.
- Began forming rock bands around the South in the late 70s/early 80s.
- King's X (with D.Pinnick) become one of rock's most respected artists, releasing metal classics.
