• Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, majored in Euphonium and Conductor.
• Had conducted Yamaha Band Toyko for 28 years, Shizuoka University Wind Orchestra for 25 years, and Tokyu Band for 10 years.
• Currently the conductor of Tokyo Customs Band and Yokohama Customs Band.
• Takakura is a very experienced conductor and has worked with many bands all over the world.
