The Methodist School Choir was established at the schools inception in 1951, and today remains an integral part of the school community.  Throughout the years, the choir has played an active role in Methodist Church services and participates in many school concerts and musicals.  The choir has performed at HK Youth Arts Festivals, 2005 World Children Choir Festival, 2007 Launch of Moral and Civic Education programme for the Hong Kong Education Bureau, 2010 HK Disneyland Magic Music Day and is regularly invited to take part in many other music activities outside school.  A highlight every year, is our invitations to sing Christmas carols at various venues throughout our city. The choir performs in different languages and has been well received by choirs and audiences from different countries.  It also participates in the HK School Music Festival each year and has obtained many prizes.  Talented choir members who are trained as soloists have competed in the individual categories of the festival and also achieved excellent results.  The choir tonight consists of members from Methodist School Intermediate Choir and Senior Choir.  It consists of 80 young singers between the ages of 8 to 11.  This promises to be another exciting experience for the choir as they sing with the Tom Lee Hong Kong Youth NeoWinds Orchestra in the Blacklight drama, “Leaf Fantasy”.
