- Ricky was born in 1966. At the age of 12, he started playing drums by self-learning.
- He is the drummer of a Hong Kong band 'Tai Chi', the band was formed in 1985 with 7 members.
- Toured worldwide with famous HK singers, also had opportunities to work with many famous musicians.
- In 1998 formed 'Ricky Music Factory' where provides various music and instrumental courses.
- He successfully introduced the Trinity Drum Kit Exam to HK in 2003 and Electric Guitar Exam in 2004.
