Julie Kuok received her professional music training at the Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In 1997, she was the first Hong Kong young musician to be awarded a full scholarship by the British Council for pursuing the Master Degree of Music at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Kuok had won several prizes in HK and overseas piano competitions including the 1995 Oberlin Concerto Competition and was invited to perform with the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra.
She is now teaching music at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Art, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Baron School of Music. |
