Maria Wong began her clarinet studies with Lee Chi Wing and Cheng Yong at the Music Office. She entered the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1987 to study with Martin Choy, Bernard Parish and John Koljonen and received her Advanced Diploma and Professional Diploma with high distinction. She was awarded a scholarship to further study in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with David Neuman, the Clarinet Associate Principal of the San Franscisco Symphony and received her Bachelor Degree in Music. Upon returning to Hong Kong, Maria has been very active as both a performer and teacher. She has been on the faculty of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Music Office since 1995. |
