Jane Smisor Bastien is first and foremost a piano teacher. |
- Along with extensive composing, writing and travelling, As former director of the Preparatory department of Music Tulane University, Jane have had an extensive background in developing teaching an extensive background in developing teaching materials for children.In 1999, she and James Bastien were recipients of the MTNA Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of their careers in music contribution to the music profession as pianists, authors, composers and music educators.
