Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band is L.A.’s most exciting big band jazz ensemble. Established in 2000, their debut record, “Swingin’ with the Fences”, made history as the first commercially available DVD audio title ever released; together with their second album, “XXL”, the band received five Grammy nominations in total. L.A. Times claimed their music as “a combination of crisp accuracy and fiery soloing…” and “… jumps any generation gap”.

Gordon Goodwin, the bandleader, is renowned for his composing, arranging and musical instrumentation skills, and has garnered three Emmy awards. He has cooperated with many famous artists like Ray Charles, Quincy Jones and Christina Aguilera. Besides television, movie and recording fields, Gordon also conducted with world-renowned symphony orchestras.
