Chen Jie was accepted by The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia at the age of thirteen. Since her debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra under Wolfgang Sawallisch at age sixteen, she has performed in many leading concert venues around the world. A frequent soloist with major orchestras, Chen Jie has collaborated with orchestras such as that of the Minnesota Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony, Orquesta Sinfonica de Madrid, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Israel Symphony, Israel Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Sinfonia Carsovia, and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
